M Lees and Sons has dated this piece to the 1920s.
The multi-splat ‘wheel’ or ‘spiderweb’ type backs with carved central bosses or paterae , with carved raised star flower-head motifs around the rim .

Raised on square tapering fore-legs with moulded and channelled detail onto spade feet , with a block of rectangular leaf carving to the top of the legs . The rear legs of elegant exaggerated splayed form .

The broad and deep seats of serpentine shape and outline , covered in worn fabric which would probably benefit from replacement.
Decorative pair of period style carved mahogany side chairs in excellent original condition with no breaks, damage or repairs.
