Carved Oak Console Table C.1890

19th century
Description

Late 19th.c. carved oak console or pier table c.1890. Just 35" wide. Solid oak top with a shaped and moulded edge over a deep gadroon carved frieze. Arch front flanked with neo-classical carved lions and acanthus corbels enclosing an open display shelf. Design is repeated (minus the lion’s heads) at the sides. Moulded plinth raised on projecting carved and shaped feet front and rear. Some minor wear to the top, otherwise excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
