An Edwardian Silver Staunton "King" Trophy, Fattorini & Sons, 1907

English sterling silver hallmarks for Fattorini & Sons, Chester, 1907

Original engraved inscription to the base polished out (i.e. removed), a few 'dings'.

Diameter: 11.3cm

Height: 19cm

Weight: 7.52 troy oz

Stock Reference: AS 1913

Fattorini & Sons were established in Leeds, in the early 19th century. In 1883, the firm made the first ever chess clock, which included two linked pendulum clocks. By the early 20th century Fattorini was known for its manufacture of sporting trophies, including the Football Association Challenge Cup (more famously known as the F. A. Cup) in 1911.
