Description

Fine large (57cm tall) antique 19th century Tibetan statue of a Buddhist Goddess, c1890. This is a quality example so is probably a temple piece and is mounted on a turned wood base. The Goddess is most likely Tara a Buddhist saviour Goddess, helping with early travel and spiritual enlightenment. It is cast well, heavy (3.5 kg), with good decoration and has acquired great colour / patina following many years of use. Overall condition is good with only minor wear /rubbing in line with age and use.
