The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1940s.
The watch has a 15-jewel hand-winding movement which is working nicely.
By 1948, prefix letters were introduced starting with 'A' but within the year a ‘B’ and finally a ‘C’, such as the example we have here.

The watch measures 31mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case has a chrome plated bezel, an alloy centre and a stainless steel back, a combination in the latter half of the 1940. The front and sides of the case are in good condition, while the back has some unevenness.
The lens is in good condition.
The signed dial is in its original finish and is stamped Made in England at the base.
A new leather strap has been fitted.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
