Victorian Walnut Desk.

Description

This is a wonderful Victorian Inlaid walnut Ladies writing table which can seat 2 people with their own working area and inkwell, each side has a drawer for papers, etc.

The top has 2 oval-shaped pieces of leather with gold-tooled edging.

The leathers are new replacements as the originals were torn and worn away.

The 2 inkwells with hinged tops are original.

The freeze has fine intricate carving and downward finials, the turned and carved legs, and stretcher stand on cabriole shaped feet with their original white pot casters

The quality is a testament to Victorian craftsmen who made this writing table some 150 or so years ago. The condition is very good.
