Art Deco Highly Figured Walnut Double Wardrobe, C1930

1920 - 1940
Description

Offered for your consideration is this truly beautiful and very stylish 1930's Art Deco double wardrobe. The quality in both the timbers and craftsmanship in this wardrobe are superb. The exterior features book paged veneers with the most glorious configuration, something you'll never tire of admiring. A wonderfully warm overall in a honey colour tone with swirls and burrs in a range if chocolate colours. Across the centre are straight grain liner lines which meet to a central circle and where both doors meet. The handles which are two half circles which accentuate the design and really set this wardrobe aside from others, something we know our fellow Art Deco admirers will appreciate. On opening the doors you'll be met with a very generous sized interior which offers full hanging space, perfect for dresses, coats, suits etc. There is also an open shelf top right for any extras that need storage. The base wood and all the internal pieces are made from solid Mahogany in a wonderful rich conker brown. Original chrome rails and chrome hooks inside with a full length dressing mirror to the inside door finish the interior off perfectly. The whole robe rests on a stepped darker plinth. Fully working locks and key that operate with ease.

We've had the whole piece taken through our workshops which has been professionally restored, everything works as it should, this wardrobe definitely won't disappoint. Delivery quoted is for one man, we are able to offer two man at extra cost, please enquire. UK mainland delivery £90

Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.
