Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Scandinavian Romanticism in the 19th century focused on expressing individual character, cultural identity, and a quiet, naturalistic atmosphere, often produced by regional masters or folk artists.

Artists commonly painted with oil pigments on substrates such as canvas, wooden panels, or sheet tinplate, subsequently housing the artwork in carved gilded frames.

Authentic period pieces typically exhibit age-appropriate wear to the gilding, natural craquelure in the oil pigments, and oxidisation on metal substrates.

Positioning a pair of framed portraits symmetrically above a sideboard, mantelpiece, or within a gallery wall creates a balanced focal point that adds historical depth.

Dust gently with a soft dry brush, avoiding liquid cleaners or damp cloths that could cause oxidisation to metal substrates or damage delicate gold leaf.
