Description
Offered for sale is this very good quality Edwardian oak cased weight driven granddaughter clock. Unusually small proportions. Dating from 1900. It has an oak case with geometric carved & moulded decoration. The slide off hood has a glazed door with barley twist pillars. The dial is brass with gilt spandrels to each corner, roman numerals, 2 keys hole weight driven movement. Trunk door with key, standing turned bun feet. Has the original pendulum and winding key. Lovely clean oak case. Great colour and shine. No woodworm. The clock is in good working order. I don't know the last time the clock had a service so it might benefit from one at some stage in order to be pristine. The clock stands 55" high, 13.5" wide & 10" deep.
