Mahogany & Marble Top Chest of Drawers C.1890.

Description

Good quality late 19th.c. mahogany and marble top chest of drawers c.1890. Later marble top with iron red colouring to match the timber. Over a chest of two short and three long drawers. Symmetrically arranged flame mahognay veneered drawer fronts (on oak groundwork) with raised mouldings and original brass handles and escutcheons. Superior quality with oak drawer linings and solid mahogany sides. Canted front corners and moulded plinth. Some old wear to the polish on the drawer fronts. Generally excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
