Antique Welsh Oak Press Cupboard

An attractive early 19th century antique Welsh oak press cupboard having a moulded cornice, two decorative arched panel doors, flanked by reeded quarter pilasters, with decorative inlay above. The doors open to reveal two fitted shelves. The base consists of four dummy drawers, above an arrangement of three small drawers over two larger drawers each fitted with brass swan neck handles, raised on bracket feet. Separates into two parts for ease of transport/movement. The top cupboard section is complete with working lock and key.

CONDITION REPORT:

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age and wear. General surface wear in places including some age-related marks to the front (pictured), but overall, good. Some losses to the cock beading around the middle drawer. Structurally solid and sound. Separates into two parts for ease of movement. Complete with working lock and key. Evidence of old historic woodworm to the back - this is long gone and has been fully treated as a precaution.
