Pair Of Art Nouveau Brass Chandeliers In The Manner Of Benson
Status:This item has been sold Sold by:In A Nutshell Antiques and Interiors
A matching pair of Art Nouveau chandeliers dating from the early 20th Century in the manner of W.A.S Benson. They are made of brass with an attractive hammered finish and have two branches coming from a central crown with scrolling arms, typical of the Art Nouveau style. They could be finished with either fabric or glass shades on the bulb holders.
They are in good condition for their age and display well. They have been lightly cleaned and polished to retain their aged patina. There are signs of age and use but no major damages or anything detrimental.
They are working and have been re-wired to modern standards and take standard bayonet bulbs. However we would always recommend that the lights are checked and installed by a professional electrician.
The best description comes from the photos so please look at them all carefully and if you have any questions just ask.
