In A Nutshell Antiques and Interiors has dated this piece to the 1800s.
They are lovely country pieces and the elm has a wonderful grain.

They are in good condition for their age and have developed a lovely patina with lots of wear on the stretchers and spindles where they have been gently smoothed over the years. There are signs of age and use, some marks and knocks but nothing detrimental. There are signs of historic worm in the seat of one and the leg and top spindle of another which has all been treated as a precaution. They are strong and sturdy and have been gently cleaned and polished and are ready for use.

The best description comes from the photos so please look at them all carefully and if you have any questions just ask.
