A very large pewter hip flask, with a cover that protects the lid and slides off to be used as a beaker. The hip flasks holds one and a quarter pints of liquid (600 ml) - so nearly a whole 700 ml bottle of sloe gin!
The base is marked JAMES DIXON & SONS, SHEFFIELD, 1385 beneath a bugle.
Condition:
In nice, antique condition with a few bumps and scratches commensurate with age and use.
