A stylish compact case, finely made in engine turned silver, with a gold clasp, the interior having a mirror lid and a silver gilt tray, marked Dunhill, London.
This case was made by W.H. Manton Ltd, Birmingham, in 1947. The silver hallmarks are located on the edge of the lip on the lower half of the case. The sub-frame which holds the mirror in place is also part marked.
A lovely accessory, by world renowned retailers Dunhill.
Condition:
Chips and losses to mirror. One very subtle shallow dent to the lid and a few marks, commensurate with age.
