18th Century George III mahogany, four tier what-not with adjustable reading slope. Of very simple design and quality with good use of timbers and having its original casters.
 
A what-not is a piece of furniture derived from the French étagère, which was extremely popular in England in the first three-quarters of the 19th century. A series of shelves for holding china, ornaments or ''what not''.
