Fine quality flame-veneered mahogany 4-drawer commode of practical scale and proportions. Fitted with original cast gilt brass escutcheons, locks and original steel key . The shaped top drawer of ‘concealed’ form .
The sides with unusual shaped uprights and raised on it’s original shaped ‘waisted’ feet. The ends of panelled construction.
The top fitted with the original black/grey polished fossil marble slab .
The carcass and drawer linings all constructed from oak , an indication of the quality and craftsmanship.
A stylish, decorative and highly practical chest or commode, of good rich colour and patina .
