Antique Edwardian Mahogany Astragal Glazed Bureau Bookcase C1900

Antique Edwardian Mahogany Astragal Glazed Bureau Bookcase and dating from around 1900. Constructed from quality mahogany it has cornice top with carved edge above a crossbanded frieze above two shaped astragal glazed doors with working key and brass door divider. Internally there are three original and adjustable shelves. To the base there is a fall front with moulded and carved edge with a shell moulding to each corner . The fall front opens to reveal a leather sliver and two small drawers with assorted pigeon holes and letter racks. To the base there are three long drawers all of which are mahogany lined with original brass handles and with carved mouldings to the edge of each drawer front. The whole being raised on short cabriole legs joined by a shaped frieze and on a claw and ball foot. The top separates from the base for ease of transporting.
