Paul Vincze
Born 15 August 1907
Died 5 March 1994
Active: 1930 - 1990
Country of birth: Hungary
Country of death: France
Medallist, sculptor
Born Galgagyork, Hungary. Vincze studied at the State School of Arts and Crafts at Budapest, then under Ede Telcs and finally in Rome (1935-7) after which he returned to Hungary.
In 1938 Nazi persecution forced him to leave Hungary and he settled in England. Vincze set up a studio in London where he lived for the rest of his life except for annual visits to his house in the south of France. In 1948 be became a British subject.
Vincze's reputation was greatly enhanced by the two medals struck to commemorate the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II in 1953. Overall he had a very busy career, principally as the maker of medallic portraits. Vince's sitters included: Sir Winston Churchill, President Harry Truman, Pope Paul VI, Yehudi Menuhin, Prince Karim Aga Khan and J B Priestley. He died at Magagnosc, France.
These pieces are still being produced today under Licence but please do not confuse this with one of those reproductions. This piece is an ORIGINAL Paul Vincze medal and not a copy or post piece and as such is a fantastic investment opportunity. Especially as it is being offered for sale for less that you can buy a new (NONE ORIGINAL) piece for.

All our pictures are taken with a Macro zoom lens to allow for very detailed inspection of the ring and we only use natural day light. We DO NOT use LED lighting to enhance the pictures on any of our jewellery (this is a method used in most high street jewellers so be careful and always take stones outside to view in natural lighting conditions). This helps to ensure you are getting the ring as it is advertised and without any fabrications. Other sellers do not do this and try to hide the true facts with less than good photos and inaccurate descriptions. When you buy from R.D.Brown and Son's you truly get a superb deal and excellent customer service.
