Description

This is a most unusual silver magnifying glass most likely for a chatelaine.

It has a lovely birds head at the top.

Fully marked to the reverse, but very small!

Adie & Lovekin Ltd 1910-23, Birmingham. Date letter is an M so could be the slightly earlier victorian mark. It is also patented.

Digby Antiques (Wiltshire) has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.
