Large Antique Painted Wardrobe

A large and impressive early 19th century antique painted wardrobe or armoire having decorative shaped and moulded cornice, two panelled doors with floral painted decoration opening to reveal a neat interior with shelf and hanging rail to the left-hand side and four shelves to the right-hand side. To the base are two fitted drawers that remain locked when the doors are shut. To the top are the initials ‘G.F.L.’ and the date ‘1822’. In original paint finish. Knocks down into various parts for ease of transport and movement (see photos).

CONDITION REPORT:

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age and wear. General surface wear in places including some age-related marks to the front (pictured), but overall, good. Some wear and chipping to the paintwork in places. Evidence of old historic woodworm in various places – this is long gone and has been fully treated as a precaution. Structurally solid and sound. Knocks down into several pieces for ease of transport and movement.
