Antique English Crocodile Jewelry Box C.1880

Description

This jewellery box is suited to either a lady or gentleman with a very usable interior. Dating to around 1880, this Victorian box is covered in glossy crocodile or alligator skin in that highly sought-after warm cognac colour.

The interior is in excellent condition in a navy blue velvet and taffeta with a removable tray which has a long horizontal ring compartment at the back which would accommodate say eight rings. Once the tray is removed the bottom compartment reveals a removable pocket watch holder and other fitted compartments.

A wonderful box in excellent condition measuring 10" x 6" x 3". Unfortunately without key.
