~~ Excellent condition, fully overhauled ~~

A large and stunning Louis XVI style drum head clock. Beautifully made in gilt bronze, the clock sits upon a reeded column with scroll brackets to each side. The case is adorned with floral swags, acanthus and a ribbon. To the top an urn with rams head handles. The top is removable to store small items.

The dial is also gilt bronze with 12 individual enamel cartouches and blued steel hands. The rear door is glazed to allow the movement to be seen.

The French movement is of high quality and is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. Pendulum is original. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. Click the video to hear the bell and watch the clock running.

Condition of the case is excellent, beautifully clean and bright with hardly any wear or discolouration. The dial is also in excellent condition just some very tiny nibbles to the cartouches next to the winding holes.

Complete with original pendulum, bell and a suitable key. Full setting up instructions supplied if required.
