Small Georgian Mahogany Chest of Drawers

18th century
Description

A handsome antique Georgian mahogany chest/commode, of small proportions with 4 drawers dating from circa 1800. It would have originally started life as a commode / chamber pot cupboard and has been converted at some point into this beautiful 4 drawer chest of small proportions. In mahogany it features an over sailing top above 4 drawers with brass swan neck handles all standing on shaped bracket feet. The top and sides feature satinwood line inlay and the drawers are finished with dummy oval key escutcheons and cock beading.

Good colour and patina. General Wear and marks commensurate with age. Some circular marks from previous. It would have stated life as a commode and has been converted into a chest of drawers.
