Antique Late 18th Century Period Mahogany Astragal Glazed Large BREAKFRONT Bookcase and dating from around the time of George 111 c1780-90. Co strutted from quality mahogany it has a moulded cornice top with deep crossbanded frieze above two astragal glazed doors to the centre with brass divider and working key. Internally there are four fully adjustable original shelves. This is flanked on either side by a single astragal glazed door with working keys and with four internal adjustable and original shelves. The base has a receded edge to the top above two moulded panelled doors to the BREAKFRONT centre with brass divider and key. Internally there is a single deep oak lined drawer over a single original adjustable shelf and three oak lined drawers all with brass handles. To each side there is a single oak lined drawer over a panelled door. One side has two fully adjustable original shelves and the other side has three graduating oak lined drawers with brass handles. The base drawer being a cellaret drawer. This superb bookcase is raised on a deep plinth base and separates for ease of transporting.

MEASURES: 100” HIGH X 39.5” HIGH TO TOP OF BASE X 23” DEEP ( centre) X 20.5” ( each end) X 77.5” WIDE.

INTERNAL DEPTH IS 12.5” ( centre) & 11” ( each end)
