Gents 1950s Creation Automatic Wrist Watch

Gents 1950s Creation automatic wrist watch.

The brand name Creation was registered in 1948 by Creation Watch Co SA of Neuchâtel, Hauterive and Biel in Switzerland.

The watch has a Swiss 25 jewel automatic movement which is working nicely.

The watch measures 35mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is gold plated and it is in good condition, just a small area of wear behind the winding crown. The screw-on case back is stainless steel, it states that the watch is waterproof but, as with any vintage watch, it should be kept away from water and moisture.

The lens is in lovely condition.

The signed dial is part textured giving it lots of character and charm. Dauphine shaped hands, seconds sweep and date display (not quickset). There is some age related darkening to the dial but overall it has a great appearance.

A new leather strap has been fitted.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
