Scottish Mahogany Longcase Clock Circa 1845

19th century
Description

Fine Scottish figured mahogany longcase or grandfather clock with 8 day striking movement by N. Mann of Rothsay (Isle of Bute). The finely painted dial with 'Scene from Kenneth' in arch with seasons in spandrels. Lovely bright cut brass handles. The case with bowed truck door having shaped decoration above and below door. All in fine original condition with only a couple of minor repairs. Lovely rich colour with fine waxed patina. The movement has just been overhauled and is in full working order.

Size; 84" high, 18" wide, 9" deep.
