Pair Of Large Georgian Broad-based Taper Cut Glass Decanter C1815

Condition
 
Age-related wear as shown. One decanter has a small chip to the base and one stopper has the lowest part of its peg chipped off. A few other minor nibbles as expected. Overall these are in very good condition, clean and clear.

Technical Description
 
A stunning pair of Georgian Regency glass decanters dating to c1812-15. Original hollow mushroom stoppers with a variety of different Regency cutting techniques. This dazzling array of cutting techniques continues in bands down the body of the decanters, including prism, cross-cut diamonds, printie and slice. Star cut base.
 
Large examples holding 1000 cl to the base of the neck.
