Edwardian Mahogany Sideboard with Marble Top

An antique Edwardian inlaid mahogany sideboard having marble top, central fitted drawer above a small under tier shelf, flanked by a single door cupboard to either side, raised on tapering square legs with castors. Decorative inlaid detail and crossbanding to the drawer and door fronts.

Height – 82cm / Width – 122cm / Depth – 56cm

CONDITION REPORT:

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age and wear. General surface wear throughout including some age-related marks to the mahogany base, but overall, good. The marble top remains in good condition with no apparent cracks or major chips. There are some holes to the back of the marble which suggest there would have been a gallery or upstand at some point. Structurally solid and sound. Some fading to the right-hand side cupboard door front. Splits to the side panels. A metal brace has been added to the back of one leg, however there is no apparent damage. An attractive piece, - generally good throughout. The marble top lifts off for ease of transport and movement.
