~~ Excellent condition, fully overhauled ~~
A large and beautiful antique French Rococo clock. Beautifully made in finely gilded bronze and mounted with exquisite Sèvres style porcelain. Porcelain has a white ground with panels delicately painted with scenes. Below the dial the panel shows a young couple strolling in a country setting.

The case is of a waisted design with profuse, twirling acanthus decoration and scrolls. The dial is also porcelain with a charming cherub amongst the clouds. It is complete with it's original finely fretted gilt brass hands.

The French movement is by A. D. Mougin and is of the maker's usual high quality. It is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. Pendulum is original. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. Click the video clip to hear the bell and watch the clock running.
Condition of the case is excellent, the original gilding is beautifully clean, bright and crisp.
