The spring hinges hold the case flat, teeth inside the case grip the cards, squeezing the sides opens the case to take out a card,
and filling with a stock of new cards, the bottom opening has a cross piece that stops the cards falling through.
Hung as a fob on a silver Albert chain this would have been readily available for the busy social networker.
Attractive engine engraving throughout, the assay office must have struggled against the engraving and springs to hallmark the item,
thus the marks, which are not worn, but rather sketchy.

In very good, bright, sound condition, strong springs and hinges, light pocket indentations and marks.
Fully loaded it measures 3,3/8" x 1,13/16" x 1/2" or 86mm x 46.5mm x 12mm
