Norwegian David-andersen Silver And Enamelled Box

This is a circa 1920 Norwegian hallmarked sterling silver pill box by David-Andersen of Christiania (now Oslo). It is of simple oval form and has a deep blue guilloche enamel finish to the lid and to the sides. The interior is gilded. The hallmark on this box was used between 1888 and 1925, while sterling silver became the most common standard in Norway circa 1920.
 
The enamel is in good order as is the whole box, with the lid and hinge working well. There are some slight marks to the silver, mainly some light scratches and scuffs to the underside.
 
It weighs 31g / 1.01 oz t
