A Good Weighted Staunton Pattern Boxwood & Ebony Chess Set in the Whitty Manner, circa 1880

the weighted chessmen with green baizes to the underside, in an antique mahogany box, fitted with a green baize interior and with a hinged lid and key.

King: 10cm high (4 inches), base 4.1cm diameter

Pawn: 5.2cm high (just over 2 inches), base 3.1cm diameter

Box: 20.5cm wide, 15.5cm deep, 10.3cm high.
