Antique Carved Oak Monk’s Bench

An early 20th century antique oak monk’s bench or hall bench having a flip over back which creates a useful table, open arms raised on turned supports, hinged seat revealing a spacious interior, carved three panel front, raised on a shaped plinth base. Decorative carving throughout.

CONDITION REPORT:

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age and wear. General surface wear in places including some age-related marks and staining to the top surface and also to the seat (pictured), but overall, good. Structurally solid and sound. An attractive example of a antique oak monk’s bench.
