A very fine Edwardian solid silver sugar sifter, lovely proportions and exquisite octagonal design. The pierced top with neat finial pulls off to allow filling. Hallmarks are visible on the body for the Sheffield Assay Office with a date mark for 1902 along with the Lion Passant indicating sterling silver and maker''s marks for Martin, Hall & Co. These hallmarks are also visible on the inside lip of the top which fits snugly onto the body.
