Antique Furniture Direct has dated this piece to the Regency era.
The front seat rail is reeded and they stand on reeded out-swept sabre legs to front and back. The drop-in seats have been recently recovered. Dating from the early 19th Century these are a very elegant pair of chairs, solid and sturdy with excellent colour and patina.
