19thc Oriental Silk Embroidered Panel C1880

Description

A stunning antique Oriental silk embroidered panel, probably Chinese, and dating to c1880. Embroidered onto a burgundy silk back cloth, gold, silver and coloured threads depict a complex scene of gentlemen under a canopy and a boy playing. Wonderful colour and richly detailed thread work.

In original carved wooden frame. Very minor break in the silk bottom right.
