Ottoman Stool or Box Seat C.1860

19th century
Description

Mid 19th.c. ottoman box seat c.1860. Ideal as a window seat or at the end of a bed perhaps. Padded seat top lifts to reveal useful storage space below for blankets, linens, shoes etc. Tapering sarcophagus form with mahogany mouldings and turned feet with brass castors below. Obvious wear to the upholstery and lining fabric, otherwise very good condition the exposed timber has been cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
