Victorian Silver Cigarette Paper Etui, by Joseph Gloster, Birmingham 1895

Description

This exquisite Victorian silver holder was made in Birmingham 1895 by Joseph Gloster. The rectangular sleeve beautifully engraved at the front with foliate decorations around a vacant shield-shaped cartouche, the back with maching patterns. This is a very unusual silver item, probably made to order and still with the original Victorian cigarette paper. It is of excellent quality. A real gem!
