The Fancy Fox has dated this piece to the Georgian era.

It measures 19cm (7 1/2") long, 10.8cm (4 1/4") wide and 14.5cm (5 3/4") high with cover on (8.2cm (3 1/4") height of tureen alone).
There is some minor discolouration around the area of the large chip at the end. The cover is crazed and there is a small area of apparent restoration to the end of the cover by the ladle hole so probably linked to the chip to the tureen base in the same area. It appears to just be the stablisation of a crack running part way diagonally from the rim ending roughly where the leaves start. The touching up is a very good match colourwise but of course missing the crazing in this area. There has also been a good repair and similar touching up to the inner flange over a small section on the opposite side. The enamel is in very good condition with just a few very tiny flakes and very minor wear to the brown enamel on the tureen rim.
