Description

Gents 1950s Olma wrist watch.

The watch has a Swiss 17-jewel bumper automatic movement which is working nicely.

Early automatic movements such as this one relied on the rotor ‘bumping’ backwards and forwards between two springs to maintain the power within the movement. Later automatic watches have the fully rotational rotor.

The watch measures 32.5mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The main body of the case is gold plated and it is in good condition. The screw-on case back is stainless steel.

The lens is in lovely condition.

The signed dial is in its original finish with original hands and seconds sweep (there is some marking to the hands).

A new leather strap has been fitted.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
