A superb Victorian solid silver beaker. This stunning item is a lovely plain polished silver with no engraving or embossing. The inside has a gilt wash that further enhances the aesthetic appeal. On the base are the very clear and crisp hallmarks for the London Assay Office with a date mark for 1877 and Lion Passant indicating fine sterling silver. The maker''s mark is also very clear for the silversmiths Walter & John Barnard.

A fine beaker and a good heavy gauge of silver would make a perfect gift for a special birthday or it would make a great christening gift!
