C19th Large Upholstered Armchair in Original Leather of the Howard Style

19th century
Description

Impressive C19th large upholstered armchair in original leather of the Howard style with generous proportions; the shaped padded back leading to the long scrolled arms on the large sprung seat having a wide bow front. Raised on oak turned tapering legs and square legs to the rear, one being stamped 8592, with original brass and ceramic castors. The rare original leather in good condition which has achieved a great look. The back of the chair with some old cracks that have been made stable.

English circa 1880

Good condition commensurate of age and use.
