Description

This delightful Arts & Craft spot-hammered silver cream jug was made by Fattorini & Sons and is dated Birmingham 1905. Of squat bellied form, the planished body with vacant cartouche. It has a naturalistic bifurcated handle and is raised on three distinctive stubby feet. A lovely cream jug with a unique and rather charming look.

Hallmarks:

F&S for Fattorini & Sons.

Birmingham Assay Mark.

Lion Passant.

Date letter "f" for 1905.

Dimensions and Weight:

Height up to handle: 5 cm / 4.2 inches.

Length from spout to handle: 12.5cm / 5 inches.

Maximum diameter: 9cm / 3.4 inches.
