An antique mahogany combination Snooker, Billiards and Life Pool scoreboard, having two rollers with painted numbers (1-100) with ebonised handles, brass runners and pointers, ten labelled slides (White, Red, Yellow, Green, Brown, Pink, Blue, Spot White, Spot Red, Spot Yellow) for Life Pool, each revealing three gilt circles (representing the player’s cue ball), and a hidden star, which was an ‘extra life’ (sadly most of these are missing).
The scoreboard sits on a separate glazed mahogany ball cupboard, which has a central cupboard with slots for 16 balls, flanked by two other cupboards. Sadly this cupboard does not have its key.
This scoreboard was made by Orme & Sons of Manchester at the end of the 19th century.
An essential part of any Victorian games room.
