A pair of Georgian period Scottish provincial toddy ladles by the Aberdeen silversmith William Jamieson. The toddy ladles are of fiddle pattern with simple oval bowls.
Date: - circa 1820.
Period: - Early 19th Century.
Engraving: - The terminals are engraved with the crest of the Bannerman clan, and motto 'Pro Patria ('For my Country')', within a belted garter. The initials 'DHJ' are further engraved underneath the crest.
Maker: - William Jamieson.
Measurement: - The ladles measure approximately 16.2cm and the bowl are 4.8 cm at their widest points.
Weight: - 65.3 grams.
Condition: - The Georgian silver toddy ladles are in good antique condition. Surface scratches , and minor marks to the bowls and handles commensurate with age. Please see photos for confirmation of condition.
