Puckerings has dated this piece to the 1880s.
The front is mounted with a sterling silver shield shaped mount to the front which could be engraved by your silversmith should you wish to personalise it, there is a tiny age imperfection to the top right hand corner of the shield; insignificant but mentioned purely for accuracy.
The silver rim to the top is also sterling silver and hallmarked for London 1888.
Excellent condition measuring 5 1/2" tall with a rim diameter measuring 3 1/4".
