Description

A very pretty Edwardian period bonheur du jour, or ladies writing desk. Very well constructed in solid mahogany with attractive mahogany veneers. With cross banding and inlaid line detailing in satinwood and boxwood throughout and with further inlaid floral detailing and harebells to the front. The top with a super-structure containing stationary drawers and surmounted with brass gallery. The table top is fitted with a sumptuous green leather writing surface , finished with gilt tooled decoration. There is an arrangement of one central convex fronted drawer flanked by two pairs of shorter drawers. All standing on elegant tapering legs which terminate in original brass caps and castors. Sympathetically repolished in our workshops this charming desk is now offered for sale in excellent condition, ready to go straight into the home.
