Description

This exquisite Edwardian silver and yellow guilloche enamel scent bottle is hallmarked for Birmingham 1901 and was made by the renowned silversmith Henry Matthews. The baluster body sliced-cut with a stylised flowerhead within geometric paatterns. The hinged silver lid inset with a concentric sunflower yellow guilloche enamel band. The neck fitted with a clear glass stopper.

Hallmarks:

H.M for Henry Matthews.

Date letter "b" for 1901.

Birmingham Assay mark.

Lion passant.

Dimensions:

Height: 7cm - 2.6 inches.

Diameter: 4 cm - 1.6 inches

Condition:

Very good.

No dings to silver lid.

Enamel in perfect condition.

Glass body, glass neck and glass stopper in perfect condition.
