The beautiful 12.1/2 X 17.1/2 inch arched brass dial with wonderful cast spandrels. The silvered chapter ring having Roman numerals, the matted centre with silvered seconds ring and 3 winding holes. The arch accommodating the secondary dials, one marked CHIME or SILENT the other WESTMINSTER CHIMES or WHITTINGTON CHIMES. Original pointers throughout and engraved at the base of the dial Maples & Co. London. The substantial 3 train movement with four large pillars, 8 day movement and quarter chiming on eight bells and /or 4 circular gongs hanging from the backboard and larger hour strike gong. The steel pendulum having brass weight with calibrated brass rating nut, The three weights are brass cased and the whole has been fully cleaned, polished and serviced. Condition - Excellent.
